BRICO INCLUYE EN SU SECCIÓN ¡QUÉ INTRESANTE! LOS MUEBLES DE CARTÓN DE SANSERIF

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

Cooling Air

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

Whoosh, cool air…
Against my dad’s and Doink’s suggestion, I had opted for System 4 invertor. :p Keke..
Who’s to say we won’t need cool air once in a while in the living room? ><

But I hope ppl realise it’s only meant for use occasionally, not all the time?

Dear Doink, I’ll not keep asking for air-conditioning de.. unless u dun even allow for fan -.-”

Anyway, it was another impromptu decision to purchase the air-conditioning. Doink and Boink seldom do their homework before doing their big expenditures. They just do it as and when they like it. It was like this with the bed, and it was also like this with the air-conditioner. And it’s also most likely going to be like this for the lighting as well. ;)

Anyway, yesterday (02 Nov 08) we went to Gain City at Causeway Point, and we chanced upon them having a sale on their air-conditioner. So went in to take a look. As what had happened previously, the sales guy was very nice and told us why certain brands not good, cuz they’re made of plastic despite easy clean. Then also to note the part load power efficiency and to note that certain brands are well-known for their invertors, while some other brands, while having a strong footing, are just sprouts in the invertor world.
After much thinking which is equivalent to 4 hours, we bought the System 4 – invertor, Mitsubishi heavy industry. :)
They won’t be coming up to install twice like the one our ID can look for, but we’re happy with their services. Some more Doink has read that Gain city’s work is one of the best, quite good, and not shoddy at all. So good for us, the only cons that we were told is that some Mitsubishi heavy industry user said that when the spare part spoils ah, the ppl will just use any thing that’s available and not the original for replacement. That might be a worry, but at least we have 5 years warranty.
And now, we gotta worry and plan for the air-con route for the trunking, since they can’t be hidden. keke

More parts of the house reno stuffs bought! :)

My wish list is getting shorter :-)

I got boots. Turns out I wear men’s 13, not 12 ;-o  I splurged $5 at Family Dollar for a nice woven rug from India for the bathroom and $3 for a wall clock. My mother gave me her old phone, some light bulbs and the food that wasn’t good for her :-) I think my mother is going to give me a bird feeder. I’ve been snagging bottles from recycling to make my own bird feeders, too.

I am still looking for the following, although I *think* I have found a bed...

Sofa (mostly for the pets or guests)
Bed (any size fine)
Tall lamp, short lamp
Vacuum cleaner
An engine block heater for the van
Clock for bedroom (glow in dark would be nice)
Mittens
Scarf
Winter hat
Men’s 5X  warm long sleeve shirt, turtleneck, sweater
Small tight garbage can and/or empty popcorn tins
Inside plants (Liz is rooting some spider plants)
Canning jars

Bread machine

A printer and digital camera that will work with my Mac PowerBook G4

Erik and I had the opportunity to have a great conversation with Marc Spagnuolo, of The Wood Whisperer, about his woodowrking background, his company, and generally anything that crossed our minds.  Marc was a great guest and even recorded the conversation for us due to our technical difficulties.  Thanks Marc!!!

No trick. Just a very nice treat.

Look what I got this weekend! On Friday, the final day of the month in which I was told I would get ALL of my furniture. Happy Halloween indeed!

Look! It's soft and pretty and holds people taller than me when they're stretched out! It even sits more than two people sitting up. I can have company now!

Look! It accommodates real-sized people, not just little ones like me, as did my old couches. Making progress, I say. :-) (And so do my tall friends.)

Please note, there is not the chair and ottoman I originally intended to have accompany my beloved lounging apparatus. Those are still on back order from the manufacturer* and I had to call the retailer for the thousandth time and make waves to even get this.

“Hi, I ordered my furniture back in August and they keep telling me two to three more weeks every time I call. Since the floor model is the exact same couch I ordered, can you just knock a little off the price and give me that one so I can sit on something other than my floor? Thanks!”

However, have it I do and what’s more, now I can have company! More than two of my friends can fit on my couch at once! Tall people can stretch out on it and I don’t have to listen to them whine about how it’s better if we hang out at their house because both of us fit on their couch when stretched all the way out and it’s just more comfortable to cuddle on adult-sized furniture. Not that I heard that often or anything. Or why I’ve spent so much of the past five months not in my own living room.

I spent quite a bit of time this weekend bonding with my couch, which involved many cups of coffee and laughing out loud to Jen Lancaster’s first two books. (I’m gearing up for the fourth book, set to be released in the spring, whee!)

All I need now is someone to fetch me fruit and fan me with a large palm frond while I read. Preferably male, Latin, hot and my age. Who can salsa dance. Yeah. :-) I’m just sayin’.

* Charles Schneider, you’re on notice. Also, I’ll be lucky if I have the rest by Christmas.
