Pergolas are standing structures used for shading and covering a specific area in outdoor living space. They are interesting places to sit out for relaxation on fine summer day. Generally there are two types of Pergola; one is free standing and the other is attached to the house. A free standing pergola is flexible; it may give you the choice to cover any area of garden, patio or pool deck.

It can be used in various places in landscape such as on patios and pool paving. Pergolas have a wonderful design that is pleasing to the eye. The design forms a walkway area that is comprised of pillars or posts, which support cross beams. They are available in different sizes and usually are crafted from wood. Generally, pergolas are in rectangular shapes. Curved pergolas are also popular but these are expensive than rectangular.

“We’ve decided to take the free market into our own handJoseph Roth, an expansion public affairs spokesman for IKEA North America, said there are no plans to open a store in Las Vegas.”
Eventhough Las Vegas more than meets IKEA’s requisite population statistics, there will be no stores in the near term. So what does that mean? We can havge IKEA shipped here, but their shipping fees can be dramatic and prohibitive if you’re budget oriented. Still, you can drive down yourself but how are you bringing back that Kramfors sectional you want?
You can shop furniture stores in Las Vegas but you pretty much have stores selling traditional furniture that are about as stylish as an Oldsmobile. The World Market Center complex downtown sells furniture but only to dealers and distributors. You can’t even get in without proof that you are in the trade.
But now there is ModernLV.com. Bringing IKEA to Las Vegas.

(Arrow indicates where to click)
Click on the lava lamp for the blender.

Click on the piano for the guitar stand.

The new pin is at the boiler room, I think it’s pretty cool and it made up for the last pin which was a red ball.

That’s all for now, see ya on the flip-side!

“I allow for signifiers of use, such as a door, shelf, or a drawer, with these elements becoming just enough information for the viewer/user to relate to. Through this denial I start to uncover ways furniture communicates and challenges viewers/users to question their expectations of something they are familiar with. The viewer/user then can begin to locate meaning because of this familiarity and start to make sense of the piece. It is important to me that my works challenge how people see art and design and the differences or similarities they have, they can begin looking at both in a new way.”
Very refreshing idea…
