Here we go!

During the last few days, we have finalized essential things in life. Now, we’re (technically) ready to live on our own as grown-ups. *gasp* We are moving the rest of the stuff we have into the apartment today. Then we’ll clean it hardcore and start feeding ourselves tonight. The fridge is still empty? Hmmm… small detail.

Some of you might have seen a picture of the apartment from Kim’s blog already, but hey, I’m way excited about the apartment. No harm in posting them again, right? :)

We’re on the first floor of the apartment complex. Kim said she was a little worried about sketchy men coming in through the window, so I now have the responsibility to taekwondo all sketchy men ever. (me = short, blind Asian = security guard?) We also have a small patch of green in the back (= back yard?) and a communal swimming pool. By the way, I LOVE hardwood floors! <3 <3

The Kitchen (with a dishwasher = very important for the well-being of the Kim):

The bathroom:

The red fire extinguisher!!! (safety first, okay?):

Kim looking serious in the empty living room/dining room/TV room/guestroom:

Well… having an apartment is nice, but now we should probably put things in it. With our multi-million dollar jobs, we decided to get high-class furniture imported from Sweden (= IKEA). Mattress, box spring, bed base, bed frame, mid beam… I didn’t know there were so many parts to a bed. Regardless, we spent more than an hour testing out different combination of those things (which involves us awkwardly moving mattresses around the store). It was highly amusing. Kim probably thinks so too:

And and and… we. have. a. car. :DDD It’s blue~~!! Here is the car and its proud owner:

At the end of the day, I felt quite accomplished. :) We have an apartment, a bed and a car. What more do we need? … a pet …

p.s. our absolutely awesome apartment has no internet quite yet, so I’ll be offline for a couple of days. Be back soon, though. :)

This bench at VivaTerra, is “hand-wrought from a no-longer sailing vessel. With a patina that radiates softly like thick layers of satin, while its aged density and strength give it a nobility all its own.”
