Midcentury smorgasbord

Well its a little way off but I know where I want to be on the 16th November. In Dulwich College at the Dulwich Midcentury Modern Show. They claim its your one stop shop for midcentury collectables without the huge retail mark up!

Now I am off to book my flight and hotel. Maybe I should just book a one way ticket and hire a truck for the return journey?

Ny Rocking Chair

Design Within Reach carries the Ny Rocking Chair and Ottoman  which was designed by Takeshi Nii in 1958, after he was inspired by an ad for a director’s chair in an archival magazine from the 1930s. At only 14.5 lbs, the Ny folds into a compact 5.5″ form that can stand on its own discreetly in the corner, or be easily picked up and moved wherever an extra lounge chair needed.
