Crescendo C2

‘Crescendo C2, by Stilvoll, is a modern interpretation of the term “desk.“ It can be a secretary or a workstation depending upon the desired function. The Crescendo C2 is handcrafted from a solid piece of wood and has an integrated cable duct with shelves, the variable vertical adjustment or the innovative inclination mechanism are organic components of the design and remain invisible.’

Cédric Ragot

Recently we seem to be posting the odd piece by designers and artists which pop up and strike us as inspiring there and then. This post is a change to that recent trend. Cédric Ragot guy is a designer who is coming up for his tenth year in professional design. His work spans development of mobile phones to basic furniture and beyond.

Pictured above is a crop of a set of vases, called “Fast”, which do actually look, well… fast I guess. His work is inspiring to us because he uses a range of techniques which push the limits of the materials he uses whilst retaining a real sense of proportion and form with good functionality (not necessarily in that order), the basis of all good design.

Click the picture above to go to his website to have a few minutes looking at the various project on which he has worked, and see what you think about his style and evolving ideas. Take time to check out the Reverso table range, which we think would look great in our studio… any one? donation? OK, we’re saving up.

Factory Waste Furniture By Amy Hunting

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

I’ve post it before about recycle design, and I will mention it again, this time about Amy Hunting design. The designer create a series of furniture collection that totally made from a wood waste and cutt-off wood collected from factories in Denmark. All the wood pieces were put together to form a wood patchwork before they were made into; a chair, a book box and a series of 12 lamps. There is nothing I love more than to see a design that is functional yet practical and the same time applying the concept of recycle.

Testing the water; Marketing, emails, advertising, drowning..?

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

There’s a rule in business: You have to spend money to make money. The free highway is closed and you don’t have an alternate route.  Meaning you may not have a lot of options when it comes to promoting your product or service.

But, there are advertising possibilities you can use to get someone to check out what you’ve got. Free ads. You have try to get some of them into your network of advertising in order to stay above the water and keep your business going. If you don’t have alot of money, that would enabel you to get the Super Blast of 10,000 customer ratio to your products or service, try free ads. Free ads are getting pretty swamped lately, so be creative. Don’t just say, “home business opportunity”. Jazz it up a little with a potential for aquiring cash ” make $300 in one day” or ” get paid $1,000 while you sleep”.  Think about it, would you click on “home business opportunity” or “get paid $1,000 while you sleep”?  I thought so.  Remember the opportunities are a dime a bakers dozen, and everyone has one today. Some aren’t getting anywhere because they advertise their product with no creativity.
What email do you have? 10 or 20 close friends. There’s another rule that comes with business: Your friends aren’t going to support you. This is contrary to internet Guru’s that are asking you to sell it to your friends, they are really just trying to get a few more free emails. So you might want to try a couple of other things. like building an email list. This isn’t easy. You have a few options here. This company lets you pay one time! Only one payment and send an email each day to up to 2.5 million opt-in mailers! Email List  for you.

Thats the path. You know the one that travels next to the free highway.  If you are going to spend, spend little. Research the products you want or need to get you to the customers. Then pick the products that best supports your need and budget. Double opt-in mailing companies are out there. Spam is no longer leagle, even though you could buy a program that enables it’s user to grab email lists form users that come to there site. Or they are in link/banner code that allows them to infiltrate your site and get the list you spent years getting. But if you are, promote your list. Advertise that you have what they want and you can get it to them, by them signing, for free, with your email list. Make sure you have a registration page/option available for you site. Then link it with your advertisemant. To help you with this, I have a company that will give you $20 of free cpc advertising. I highley recommend them.  Just click and your there.

Cash per click marketing
So now were to the end of your training. This is just the begginning of the opportunities available to you. Maybe you want to publish ads at your site:
Pay per click advertising

And another way for you to make money! If your advertisement sends some one to your site for 0.05 cents and they click on and add at your site that pays 0.25 cents, You can’t go wrong! you made  0.20 cents to do nothing! Thats marketing, and if your customer gets sent to your site for free from an add you placed in the clasifieds. You get the picture.

Thanks for stopping by and get ready for your next update of the do’s and don’ts of home business.
