Folding Wine Barrel Chair

I don’t think this necessarily looks the most comfortable, but I like look and the fact that it folds.

Reminiscent of a steamer deck chair, our folding barrel stave chair is made from salvaged 70-gallon oak wine barrels. When folded, the slats nest alongside one another, making the chair as flat as a comma. Individually numbered with the name of the winery branded under the seat. For those who don’t like to be alone, there’s also a bench variety.

The Consumer Hat, The Client Hat, and The Photographer Hat

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

When Peter asked me to take the photos for the San Jose benches, I thought ‘Oh! Furniture that is a fairly simple job;’ to my surprise, it wasn’t.

My first photo attempts at the San Jose were good; I was really satisfied with my work, but I felt that the photos look too simple. I decided to put on my consumer hat and thought, ‘okay it’s a bench, and so what? there are many of them in the market.’ Then I put on Greene Concept’s hat, and said: these benches are different, and there is something especial about them. Finally, I put my photographer hat back on, and thought ‘the designers and builders put a lot of work into these benches, and I am going to show the audience how beautiful and special they are.’

For me, the key to making great product photos is to wear as many hats as necessary in order to bring out the products’ features and beauty. In RL consumers are becoming savvy, and are more careful when they purchase something, well, these are the same consumers that are purchasing in SL, and they are no less savvy or less demanding.

It is true that furniture does not move, and it is exactly for that reason that photos have to bring out its beauty and personality. I do believe everything has personality, and it is our work as photographers to bring it out and show it to the public. Not a simple job BTW.

Herman Miller Celle Chair Review

Celle Chair Review by “H. Haliday”
Coworkers and I amazed with the Cella

Celle Chair Review My work just bought me a Herman Miller Celle along with the rest of the web development team about a month ago and I thought I’d share my opinion on this high end chair. My first impression when I walked into the office and saw them was they were some good looking chairs. The office not only looks bigger but there actually is more room to move around. It was a bit cramped having four people working in one room but we work together quite closely. We have the blue fog ones with the graphite base and I must say it is a very attractive chair. When I sat down I went “Oh that’s a stiff chair, who stole the cushions?” But it definitely grows on you. It is stiff, but not too stiff. Maybe stiff is the wrong word to use; there is enough give that it’s really easy to move around which is important because we do a lot of sliding around to each other’s computers but it supports your back very well. One of my coworkers took his lumbar support off, he says he feels more free to bend as he pleases. I think it’s a psychological thing he needs to do while he’s working. We can all tell our chairs by sitting in them, they are like completely different chairs with all the adjustments allowing you to customize it to your wants and needs. I give this chair a five out of five but so do my coworkers so it’s more like a twenty out of twenty. I’d be shocked if all herman miller celle reviews didn’t give this a phenomenal score as it’s simply an amazing design and incredibly different then all other chairs I have say in!
