1. Do not get your house custom built, but live in old neighbourhoods in old houses, as they will at least double in price since their purchase.
2. Do not buy expensive clothes, but buy really expensive shoes and resole them when needed.
3. Buy antique furniture made from real wood and repair or refinish when needed, as they will raise in value.
4. Don’t buy the latest car, but keep the one that you have well-maintained. When buying a new car, find a used one that is in good condition, so you can avoid the initial depreciation.
