March Treasure Hunt – Clue 13: Shop Doma.dk

Posted By: Furniture Reporter  //  Category: News

Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in the current edition of Prim Perfect. There are FOURTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

The Arne Jacobsen Rattan Chair is the item to find this month. The chair is based on a circa 1930 design by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. It can be found at Shop Doma.dk, the in-world presence of the company JV Holdings, and the work of SL designer Alias Alcott. The chair has a natural and airy look to it, and I had to try it out. Sitting in it was very relaxing, and it would work well with a heavy novel to read or an afternoon of daydreaming. I know exactly where to place it within my imaginary dream house.

Another item which caught my eye was the bright flower table and chairs. The round table has a brushed metal base with bold red and pink flowers on the tabletop. The chairs are sold separately and are based on Verner Panton’s K1 Cone Chair, designed in 1958. The set is bright, bold, and a lot of fun. Take a look around the store and learn a bit about Danish modern design.

For the treasure hunt competition, find as many prim counts as you can for the magazine’s treasure hunt items, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreaker question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 72). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker. Also – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can. You have until April 20th, 2008, to send in your entry.
